Are you interested in running an awards section for the site? I'm looking for a webmaster (you may have a staff of volunteers to help out) to create and maintain this new part of our network. You will need to have HTML, FTP and design experience as you will need to create it from scratch. You must also be dedicated to the site and keep it updated on a regular basis.



In the way of content I'm looking for rules, categories, a nomination form, etc. For reference, you can visit the now dead Twilight Awards.



Nominees WILL NOT need to have their stories posted on this site. However, all writers should be contacted if they are nominated. This way they can get their readers to vote for their story, and it will also help to promote our site to authors :)

Anyways, I few reminders:

The FanArt Archive is officially open so get submitting. I always suggest using a watermark on your images if you don't want people to steal them. PLEASE POST ONLY YOUR WORK! NO ONE ELSE'S. It is unacceptable to take credit that does not belong to you.

Next, we do have standards for our fictions. Please review the Submission Rules. Located HERE. (All rejected submissions will be deleted from the archive, so back up your stories.) Beta Readers can be request on the Forum.

Thirdly, please invite all your Twilight friends. As soon as we start getting enough members and more submissions we will start offering challenges and contests... even prompts!

The art archive will be opening sometime this next week. You can access this part of our site by selecting Network then Artwork in the sub menu. Keep checking back for the official launch.

Also, there was a registration error yesterday that is all cleared up now. All accounts did register so if you have already signed up and received the error, you should be able to use your account just fine.

Welcome and thanks for visiting the site! My Own Twilight is a fan site for the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer. Our main focus at the moment is fan fiction, however we hope to be much more than that. The Twilight fandom is huge, and it is our goal to eventually include all aspects of fan works such as art, videos, podcasts, and to also expand our network to include interactive “mini” sites. But more about that later :)



Before we begin, I’d like to take some time to point out a few features. As of now, we have an implemented forum that is a major part of our network. By registering for the archive, you will automatically be registered for the forum using the same username and password. If you ever wish to change your penname, you can do that through editing your bio on the main site. These changes will also reflect on the forum. The next part of our network will include an art archive, which will open shortly.



Currently we only have one skin to choose from called Hue. This skin allows you to pick your color scheme by selecting a hue example image near the top right of your screen. Upon the releasing of each skin, a thread will be created on the forum for that particular skin in order to report any errors or bug reports for things that need to be fixed. If you see anything that needs to be worked on, please let us know by visiting this thread and posting a reply. And while you’re at it, be sure to check out the forum and introduce yourself! We’d love to hear from you.
